Temanggung, August 8, 2022 – MBKM, which stands for “Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka”, is one of the programs initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbud Ristek) of the Republic of Indonesia. This program is intended for students to enrich their knowledge through more opportunities to study outside the campus. As quoted from Kampus Merdeka’s website, “The MBKM program provides an opportunity for students to hone skills according to their talents and interests by going directly into the world of work as preparation for future careers.”
The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, has collaborated with PT Kelola Agro Makmur, one of the best frozen vegetable producers with the theme “Launching the MBKM Program: The Upstream and Downstream of Export Commodities”. The activity was held from the 8th to the 9th and was attended by 124 lecturers and students from Faperta UGM. Activity participants also visited factories to edamame and okra fields to find out the upstream to downstream processes of frozen vegetable products.
PT Kelola Agro Makmur also supports the MBKM program by facilitating this activity as a program that provides opportunities for students to gain independence in shaping the future they dream of. This also giving chance for the teachers to sharpening their knowledge and professional development for Faperta teachers.
